The Answers You Need
As a community space the Trust encourages the use of the space for community events. Any one interested in holding an event on the Green should initially make contact with the Trust and we can then agree the best way to proceed.
Can events be held on the Green?
If the Trust were to provide bins on the Green they would need to be emptied by volunteers and at this point in time this is not an option. There are bins on the two main routes to the Green, at the Ridgewood Village Hall car park and on Shipreed Lane which are managed and emptied daily by there Town Council.

Uckfield Millennium Green is managed by a charitable Trust with support from the Friends of the Green.
If you enjoy using the Green and would like to help with the ongoing maintenance and development of this community area, there are a number of ways you can become involved.

Friends of the Green
One way you can assist, and be kept informed of developments at the Green, is to join the Friends of Uckfield Millennium Green.
Become a Friend to provide continued support and receive regular Newsletters and information emails that let you know first-hand what has happened on the Green.
To become a friend there is a small annual contribution.
Individual Friend £12
Family Friend £15
These can be paid by setting up an annual standing order using your name as the reference.

Work Parties
Regular work parties are held for anybody who is interested in helping to preserve and enhance the Green
The Work Parties are organised by the Trustees and held every six weeks where volunteers help out with planned maintenance activities. These are social events which also provide an opportunity for users of the Green to discuss any issues or ideas with the Trustees.
They are generally held on a Saturday morning, the dates are displayed on the notice boards at the beginning of each year, and further specific details are provided by notices on the entrance gates one week before the event.
No matter who you are or what age you are, we can find a job for you and all help is appreciated even for just part of the morning.
Maintenance Mondays
Trustees are on the Green carrying out maintenance most Mondays from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Please contact us on info@uckfieldmillenniumgreen.co.uk if you would like to join in.
Just Giving
There is always a need for ongoing fundraising to cover the costs of managing the Green. Donations are always welcomed, and we have a Just Giving page to make this an easy process
